NEC Conference
NEC 2010 will take place at Stoke Rochford Hall on 10/11 July 2010.
Unrivalled by any other teachers' organisation for the quality and range of its "leading edge" speakers, the NUT's National Education Conference (NEC) is one of the most important education events of the year. It provides the opportunity for members to meet together in whole-conference and workshop sessions to discuss professional issues with colleagues from all parts of England and Wales and other sectors of education. Each annual conference has a theme and speakers are selected for their expertise in this area. Last year (2009) 165 members, speakers and staff attended the NEC on "Education: Looking to the Future" where speakers included Dr Sue Horner, Director of the QCA, Graham Robb, from the Youth Justice Board, Tim Oates Group Director of Assessment Research and Development, Dr Denis Mongon, from the University of Manchester and NUT Assistant Secretary, John Bangs.
The 2010 NEC will take place at to Rochford Hall on 10/11 July 2010. The Conference theme is 'Schools and Communities: Responding to new challenges and opportunities'.For further information contact Celia Dignan at C.Dignan@nut.org.uk
